I would like to see more maps running on Normal Damage instead of the current Real / Extreme damage.
There are a number of players on L!VE that enjoy playing ND but I know there are also a number of players that don’t like it.
At present there are LOTS of players that play on House of Boom and other servers that simply will not play on L!VE because of the Real / Extreme damage we run.
It would be great to have a more even playerbase and to be able to cater to everyone’s taste.
Playing Normal Damage also fixes many of the common complaints about spawnkilling and camping, as it’s simply very hard to do this in ND but very easy to do it in XD.
So, I propose we run a 50/50 split between ND and XD which alternates every map.
For example:
Map 1 = XD
Map 2 = ND
Map 3 = XD
And so on…I personally like playing ND because it means you can actually have a gun fight and it makes the gameplay more of a challenge.
I do also like RD/XD, but most of the time it’s more a “who can click first” competition that actual gunfight.
It would be nice to get your guys thoughts on this, would you be happy to run with a 50/50 split in damage settings?
If not 50/50 then what percentage would you be happy with?

BuLLyit is no secret I enjoy ND. I wont push it too much in the server, but I really enjoy the mix that was initially set up. ND offers a different game play with added fun. The way I see it variety is the spice of life I know Mrs Aqua likes that (She better don’t come to the Caribbean …hahahah). But that mod will also sharpen up everyone skills, might take a short time..but it will be fun.
I have already been asked from players in HOB if L!VE will do ND maps as that interest them. the challenge is what they are after. I spent some time in HOB and that may have sharpen my shooting skills bit.
We can enjoy ND and improve our game play. I know Aqua will support me….lets try it again. L!VE has so much traffic…we can make it better. I know we are old players, learn something different please.
Bully is making it easy , I would like to see 50/50, but if you all want we start lower at 25/75 and build our way up…it will attract the other surviving server players.

Having grown up on the likes of Unreal modded with Instagib / the speeds of QuakeIII online with Quake damage on, I’m come very much accustomed to high damage that comes with RD/XD games and trying to be the quickest to aim and move round the map.
Personally: I find ND frustrating. Unloading a whole clip into someone like a sponge and then dying when they hit the right spot, can be infuriating.
But I don’t have to play once an ND map comes on, can still watch others and join in with the chat banter, or have a rest/get a drink/beer/coffee etc whilst others play until the round is over so it’s not a big deal for me if L!VE wishes to go down the 50/50 route, something for everyone then.
I had replied to a post on Discord, where I mentioned that once a game is in ‘ND’ mode, many players, including myself, switch to spectator mode. I do this because I’m a bit lazy and like to see who can click first. The old way of playing, such as in Kammy with no health packs and the sewer map with knives only, is what I believe attracted a lot of players to the server. Although Kammy can be a grenade fest, people still seem to enjoy playing it that way.
I don’t have an issue with ND; I just don’t like it, lol, as I’ll just go into spec or just call it a day.
I like the alternative actions, spec., grab a beer, then return. But we need more bubbas in the game to play too!!

i dont like the hard shooting cos i cant do it….. im no skilled player never have been i just play for fun and sof has been a big part of my life(i met my hubby on SOF the best decision i made….dont tell him that thou lol)

I’d just like to clarify, that’s it’s not my server, I like to consider it everyone’s server.
Yes I help out a lot but you have to thank Putrefy for having the initiative to set the server up in the first place and carry on the legacy after EV!L closed, without him we wouldn’t be here today.
Yes, thanks to Putrefy we would not have a place to play. These evening up to 20 players in the server, zero bots!. Also we see more new maps dropped which turn out to be so much fun.

Trying ND from time to time doesn’t bother me. Surprisingly, some maps seem to accept it better than others. I think, just need to pop it in very sparingly so players who dislike it know its a brief inconvenience then back to normal . A good preemptive server messaging to players would also help from putting players off to it suddenly. — But I have to tell you, my shottie is my favorite partner and she HATES me feeding her blanks!!!!
