cl_allowDownload is a Soldier of Fortune 2 console variable (CVAR) in the Client group. Allows the client to automatically download missing files from the server. Its default value is "1". The recommended value is "1".

How to change it
Open the console with ~ and type the command:
seta cl_allowDownload "1"
To keep the setting, put the same line (starting with seta) in your config file, such as sof2mp.cfg in the game's base folder.
