SOF2MP.COM (the “Site”) has a zero-tolerance approach to spam. This policy explains what we send, what we will never send, and what we expect from everyone who uses the Site. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. What we send you
- We do not send marketing emails, newsletters or promotional messages, and we never sell, rent or share email addresses.
- Giving us an email address is optional. If you do, we use it only for messages you need, such as password resets, account security notices, replies to your requests and important changes to our policies.
- Community announcements, such as “game on” alerts, new records and match results, are posted to our Discord server, where you choose whether to follow them. They are not emailed to you.
If we ever introduce an optional mailing list, we will only send it to people who have actively opted in. Every message will include a simple way to unsubscribe, in line with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
2. What you must not do
You must not use the Site, its features or its name to send or publish spam. This includes:
- putting advertising, affiliate links, SEO links or repeated promotional text in your profile, tagline, bio, links, booking names or any other field;
- creating accounts automatically or in bulk, or using bots to post, book, predict or claim;
- making many duplicate or meaningless bookings, predictions, claims or reports;
- collecting (“harvesting”) Discord names, links or other contact details from the Site to send people unsolicited messages;
- sending unsolicited bulk messages, by email, Discord, in-game chat or any other channel, that use the SOF2MP.COM name, or advertise the Site in a way that pretends to come from us;
- posting off-topic advertising for the Site on other websites, forums or services in breach of their rules.
Promoting your own server, clan, event or stream to the community in the right places is welcome. Spamming it is not.
3. How we protect the Site
We use measures such as hidden form fields, time checks, rate limits, blocked-word lists and Cloudflare bot protection to stop automated abuse. These measures may sometimes stop genuine users. If that happens to you, please contact us.
4. Messages pretending to be from us
We will never ask for your password by email or direct message. If you receive a message claiming to be from SOF2MP.COM that asks for your password, a claim code or payment, do not reply. Please report it to [email protected].
5. Enforcement
If we believe an account or visitor is involved in spam, we may remove the content, block access and suspend or delete the account immediately, without notice. Where spam breaks the law, we may report it to the relevant authorities and cooperate with any investigation.
6. Reporting spam
Report spam on the Site, or spam that uses our name, to [email protected] with a link or a copy of the message.
