r_mode is a Soldier of Fortune 2 console variable (CVAR) in the Graphics group. Resolution preset index. -1 uses r_customwidth and r_customheight. Its default value is "3". The recommended value is "-1".

How to change it
Open the console with ~ and type the command:
seta r_mode "-1"
To keep the setting, put the same line (starting with seta) in your config file, such as sof2mp.cfg in the game's base folder.
