m_side is a Soldier of Fortune 2 console variable (CVAR) in the Mouse group. Multiplier for mouse input mapped to lateral (strafing) movement. Its default value is "0.25".

How to change it
Open the console with ~ and type the command:
seta m_side "0.25"
To keep the setting, put the same line (starting with seta) in your config file, such as sof2mp.cfg in the game's base folder.
